Dayforce

Employee self-service is where Dayforce has a clear place: it brings HR and workforce tasks into the same system used by an employer. Employees may use the app to check schedules, record work time, view pay details, request time off and handle other HR tasks, depending on what their organization enables. Managers can use the wider Dayforce system for workforce administration, though the mobile app’s exact menu varies by employer. Its value, by our assessment, comes from connecting shift, time and pay information rather than scattering those tasks across separate tools. That can be particularly handy for workers whose schedules change. It is less compelling as a standalone productivity app, since its features depend on an organization running Dayforce. The app is task-focused: it is meant for checking a shift or submitting a request, not replacing a full desktop HR platform. Access to the relevant functions therefore depends on how the employer has configured the system.
