По нашей оценке, именно в этом его сила: фильм снова и снова срывает с пафосного приключения серьёзную маску и смеётся над самой идеей великого поиска. Ограничение тоже понятное — если британский абсурдный юмор не попадает в ваш вкус, ритм может показаться нарочно рваным и повторяющимся. В просмотре это кино больше про поток гэгов, чем про сюжет, и отдельные сцены ощущаются как самостоятельные комические номера, сшитые тонкой ниткой. На фоне прямолинейного приключенческого кино оно гораздо меньше заботится о погружении и гораздо больше — о том, чтобы подрезать пафос. Это очень живой, изобретательный фильм, который держится на комедийном темпе и не пытается быть ничем другим.
