Biscuit lait chocolat

Biscuit lait chocolat is the familiar milk-and-chocolate biscuit that lives in the standard snack aisle and does not try to be fancy. By our assessment, it does well on the basic job: a crisp biscuit with a cocoa note or chocolate coating gives an easy sweet bite without the weight of a cake. The downside is that this style can be fairly predictable, and the milk-chocolate profile rarely surprises anyone. In practice it is the sort of biscuit that goes with a mug, sits in a tin, and disappears one piece at a time. Compared with plain dry biscuits it is richer; compared with filled chocolate cakes it is simpler and less sticky. The catalogue places it squarely among chocolate biscuits, which is exactly the shelf role it fills. It is a good everyday sweet biscuit, and the texture is all about clean crunch rather than softness.
