Kotak Mahindra Bank

Kotak Mahindra Bank is a large Indian commercial bank for savings accounts, cards, loans, and everyday banking, with a strong retail and digital presence. By our assessment, it does well at being a full-service bank that ordinary customers can actually use for payments, credit, and account management without the feel of a tiny niche lender. The downside is the usual one for big banks: lots of products, lots of fine print, and a service experience that depends on branch and app rather than one neat simple promise. In practice, Kotak Mahindra Bank means salary accounts, card spending, loan paperwork, and mobile banking all living under one roof. It sits among India’s major private-sector banks, so it is closer to the large mainstream than to a specialist finance shop. Kotak Mahindra Bank is an Indian company, and that is exactly the setting in which this sort of bank makes sense.
