Donbas People's Militia

Donbas People's Militia is a generic name for an armed formation tied to the Donbas conflict, so the plainest thing to say is that it belongs to the world of irregular military groups rather than a normal company. By our assessment, that makes it a term with clear political meaning and very little stable public-facing substance. Its strength, as such names go, is recognizability: it signals a side and a role at once. The downside is that the label is broad, contested and not a neat description of one tidy organization. In practice it sounds like a wartime banner more than a regular institution, which is exactly why it is hard to treat it like an ordinary brand. It sits closer to militia names and conflict labels than to anything a neutral consumer would deal with.
