Aurora

Aurora is one of those company names that can mean almost anything, so the real value depends entirely on the sector behind it. By our assessment, that flexibility is the one advantage: it is simple, memorable, and easy to place on a brand, store, or corporate sign. The downside is just as clear, because the name carries no built-in clue about what the company sells or does. In practice it is a blank label that can work in many fields, from retail to technology to services, and that very openness makes it hard to judge from the name alone. Compared with the fuller legal names in this set, Aurora is the most brand-like and the least explanatory. It leaves the reader waiting for the actual business to show up in the details.
