Gato Roboto

Gato Roboto is a compact Metroid-style platform adventure where a cat in a tiny mech pokes around alien tunnels, and that odd pairing is exactly the point. By our assessment, it is strongest as a light, brisk exploration game: movement is sharp, rooms are readable, and the black-and-white presentation gives it a clean old handheld feel. The limit is scale, because it is shorter and lighter than the big names it nods toward, and the challenge stays approachable rather than punishing. In practice it is the kind of game where you learn a new route, grab an upgrade, and keep moving without much fuss. Compared with sprawling Metroidvanias, it is smaller and funnier, but also easier to finish and less likely to overstay its welcome. Gato Roboto works for players who want a lean exploration loop and simple jokes with their action. It does not try to be huge, and that restraint is part of the charm.
