Starbucks UK

The familiar café brand is only part of what the Starbucks UK app is for: it brings ordering, payment and Starbucks Rewards together. Customers can browse the menu, place an order through the app where the service is available, and keep their rewards activity in the same account. By our assessment, that is a useful fit for people who already make Starbucks part of their routine, since the app can shorten the counter interaction and keep orders and rewards in one place. The trade-off is that its conveniences stay within one chain; it is not a general restaurant-discovery or delivery app. Menus and options can also depend on the particular store, so the app does not make every location identical. It is most valuable when the user wants Starbucks-specific ordering rather than a wider view of nearby food. The account links the menu, payment and rewards to Starbucks locations.
