That's My Bush!

That's My Bush! is a network sitcom built for people who know the shape of American political comedy and do not mind it being turned into broad, cheap gags. By our assessment, its main trick is the odd collision of presidential pomp with sitcom routine, which gives it a quick target but also ties it to a very specific joke machine. The trade-off is plain: once the parody premise lands, there is not much room for range, so the show lives or dies on whether that tone amuses you. In practice it is noisy, fast, and very much of its moment, with the feel of a sketch stretched into a series. Compared with sharper political satire, it is lighter and more disposable, and it does not try to be a deep Bush-era document. That's My Bush! is best thought of as broad television parody that keeps its sights low and its jokes blunt.
