Peg + Cat

Peg + Cat is a maths show that sneaks counting, shapes and problem-solving into bright adventures for young children. By our assessment, its real strength is how it makes arithmetic feel like part of the story instead of a separate lesson, so the numbers come wrapped in songs, puzzles and very simple stakes. The limit is also clear: older children will outgrow the pace quickly, and adults will feel the repetition. In practice it is colourful, cheerful and built for short attention spans, with a friendly rhythm that keeps returning to the same kinds of challenges. Compared with general preschool cartoons, it is more educational and more tightly organised around a single subject. Peg + Cat is a good fit for early learners who need playful number work, and it stops being much use once the child already wants bigger plots.
