Los Protegidos

Los Protegidos keeps a family of people with special abilities at the center and leans on the usual mix of secrecy, protection, and private trouble. By our assessment, it works best as a Spanish drama for viewers who like character friction more than tidy plotting. The strength is the premise itself and the easy hook of a hidden family unit; the limit is that shows built on this kind of setup often depend on familiar soap-opera rhythms. In practice it sounds like something that moves between home life and danger without much room for surprise, and Astrina’s Drama label fits that straight-faced tone. It is less about spectacle than about the pressure inside the group, with the category doing most of the promise.
