Hollywood Heights

Hollywood Heights is aimed at viewers who want a soapier teen drama, with relationships, ambition, and backstage dreams doing most of the work. By our assessment, its appeal is the familiar drama machinery: emotional pressure, shifting loyalties, and a setting that keeps everything pointed toward performance and image. The limit is that this kind of series depends heavily on whether the tone and the cast grab you early, because the setup itself is not subtle. In practice it runs on scenes of argument, flirtation, and confidence, with the plot energy coming from feeling rather than surprise. It sits closer to melodramatic youth TV than to prestige drama, and that is both its identity and its ceiling. Astrina files Hollywood Heights under Drama, which matches the show’s straightforward emotional focus.
