DC's Legends of Tomorrow

DC's Legends of Tomorrow is the Arrowverse at its loosest: a time-travel team show that mixes comic-book action, oddball character pairings, and a willingness to turn the whole premise into a joke when needed. By our assessment, that flexibility is the point, because the series can drop seriousness, embrace chaos, and let a rotating team of misfits carry the energy. The downside is that the looseness also keeps it from feeling tidy; continuity, tone, and stakes are often more elastic than in the other DC shows. In practice it has the rhythm of a team adventure where the fun comes from the lineup changes and the willingness to go ridiculous. It sits apart from the straighter superhero dramas by being more playful and less solemn, and that makes it feel fresher than its premise sounds. DC's Legends of Tomorrow is for viewers who want a comic-book series with room for nonsense and costume changes, not a rigid weekly machine.
