Chrisley Knows Best

Chrisley Knows Best trades on a big, performative family personality, with sitcom timing built around Todd Chrisley’s polished, overbearing household image. By our assessment, that makes it a straightforward reality-comedy built for viewers who want quips, family bickering, and a lot of polished outrage. It is at its best when the joke lands in the rhythm of the household itself, not when it pretends to be a serious portrait of family life. The downside is baked in: if the larger-than-life mannerisms do not amuse you, there is not much else underneath them. In practice it is one of those shows that runs on repetition, catchphrases, and the same social squabbles dressed up as comedy. It sits in the crowded lane of celebrity-led reality TV, where the main appeal is personality, not structure or surprise.
