The i-Link Smart Lamp with Speaker Ceiling Light tries to do two home jobs in one fitting: light a room and play audio from the ceiling. That combination is the selling point, especially for someone who wants a cleaner room with fewer separate devices and cables. The compromise is also obvious, because both the lamp and the speaker have to share the same housing, so neither part is likely to satisfy a picky user as much as a dedicated unit. By our assessment, it sits in the usual smart-home middle ground: handy if the room setup is simple, less impressive if sound quality or lighting quality needs to be serious. In practice it is the sort of thing that is set up once, linked to controls, and then used from the wall or a phone without much drama. It is more a combined fixture than an audio product, and the ceiling position is part of both its appeal and its limit.
