By our assessment, its real strength is the calm, settled way this class is meant to cover miles, with wind protection and a riding position that suit steady road work. The trade-off is weight and size; in slow traffic and tight parking it will always feel like a big machine. In practice that usually means a smooth, serious ride rather than a playful one, with enough touring intent that it sits closer to a grand tourer than a sharp weekend toy. It belongs in the same conversation as other large touring bikes, and the 1300 in the name is part of the model name, not a figure to read from it.
