YOTOC 8 Way Outlet Multi Plug Tower Power Strip is the upright kind of mains splitter that people buy when a desk, TV stand, or small office has run out of wall sockets. By our assessment, its appeal is simple: it stacks several outlets in a small footprint, so it takes less floor and plug-board chaos than a flat strip. The trade-off is just as clear, because tower strips can be awkward with bulky chargers and do not hide a messy bundle of adapters very well. In practice it is one of those unglamorous bits of kit that only feels important once the sockets are gone, and then it is mostly about keeping things off the carpet and within reach. It sits between a basic extension lead and a more built-out surge-protected desktop hub, and it does not try to be clever beyond giving you more places to plug in.
