Wireless Mouse is the everyday pointer tool for laptops and desktop setups, especially where a cord gets in the way. By our assessment, it is best at making desk use cleaner and more flexible, with no cable tug and no need to sit right on top of the machine. The trade-off is the usual one for this category: batteries, dongles, and occasional lag or sleep-wake annoyance, depending on the model. In practice it disappears into the work once paired, though it also asks for a little more attention than a wired mouse. Compared with a wired mouse, it gives up some simplicity to buy freedom of placement. Compared with a trackpad, it still feels steadier for long cursor work and basic editing. It makes sense for office work, study, and travel. It is less appealing if a person wants one less thing to charge or replace.
