Watinc New Magic Ball Magnetic Disk Set is a small magnetic construction toy for fiddling with shapes, balance, and quick pattern-making on a desk or table. By our assessment, its best trait is the immediate snap of magnetic pieces that makes it easy to experiment without much setup. The downside is that this kind of set depends heavily on the novelty of the mechanism; once the basic tricks are known, the play can thin out fast. In practice it is the sort of toy that gets handled in short bursts, with pieces scattered, stacked, and re-arranged more than deeply built with. It sits between a fidget toy and a simple construction set, closer to quick desk play than serious building. It makes most sense for someone who likes small mechanical toys and less sense for anyone wanting a large, structured building system. The whole appeal lives in the feel of the magnets and the instant reset.
