Unknown Hand Spinner

Unknown Hand Spinner is a small fidget toy for people who want something to turn in the fingers while thinking, waiting, or trying to keep the hands busy. By our assessment, that is also its main strength: the little spinning motion is immediate, cheap in feeling, and easy to understand without instruction. The problem is just as plain, because a spinner is a narrow object with a narrow job, and once the novelty fades it has little else to offer. In practice it is all about the bearing, balance, and the feel of the frame in the hand, so the experience depends more on the individual piece than on the name. It sits squarely among stress toys and desk gadgets, and the word Unknown in the title does most of the work here.
