Universal Travel Adaptor is the little piece of travel kit that lets plugs meet sockets when you cross borders, and that is enough for many frequent flyers and people with a bag of chargers. By our assessment, its best quality is obvious: it solves the basic shape problem between many wall outlets and many devices. The catch is just as obvious, because an adaptor does not change voltage or protect fragile gear on its own, and the cheapest ones can feel loose in the socket. In practice it is one of those objects you forget until the moment you need it, then handle carefully because a bad fit is annoying very quickly. It sits below a full converter or power station and above a random plug workaround. Anyone carrying phones, shavers, or camera chargers across countries may use one; anyone needing voltage conversion should look for something else.
