Subaru Trezia

For drivers wanting a compact car with an unusually practical cabin, the Subaru Trezia stands out more for packaging than for adventure-ready image. It is a small people carrier developed with Toyota, with a tall body and flexible interior that make passenger and cargo space the point. By our assessment, that shape suits urban use and everyday errands better than buyers seeking a roomy, high-riding Subaru with serious off-road ability. Its compact footprint makes it easier to place in tight streets, while the upright cabin gives it a more useful feel than many small hatchbacks. The trade-off is that it is not a large family van, and its modest class brings less space and presence than bigger MPVs. The Trezia’s appeal rests on making a small car do practical cabin work.
