Satzuma Disco Bulb is a novelty light for people who want flashing colour and a party look from a single screw-in bulb. By our assessment, the good part is immediate: it is easy to understand, easy to place, and turns a room festive without extra gear. The obvious limit is that this kind of bulb is about effect, not serious lighting, so it is poor as the main light in a room. In practice it works best when the rest of the space is dim and nobody expects normal task light from it.
