SPIRE Jewel 550W

Choosing a power supply is mostly a matter of matching its output and connectors to the computer, not its name. SPIRE Jewel 550W is identified as a computer power supply, and the number in the model name is not enough to establish how much usable capacity it offers or what systems it supports. A power supply’s job is to deliver stable power to the motherboard, processor, graphics card and drives; fit, cable connections and efficiency also matter. The wattage demand depends on the components installed, so this model cannot be assumed suitable for every gaming or office build. By our assessment, it belongs to a useful, often overlooked part of a desktop PC, but the label alone leaves important buying details unresolved. Connector layout and efficiency certification are worth checking against the rest of the build.
