SMART EQ Fortwo

SMART EQ Fortwo is a tiny city car built for squeezing into narrow parking gaps and weaving through tight streets. By our assessment, its best trait is the size: the Fortwo idea is about easy parking and low-stress urban movement, not long-distance comfort or carrying much around. The obvious downside is also part of the design, because such a short two-seat car leaves little room for passengers or luggage and is not meant to feel relaxed on bigger roads. In practice it is a car of compromises, where the appeal comes from quick errands and cramped city spaces rather than versatility. Compared with normal hatchbacks it is far less practical; compared with scooters or microcars it gives you more shelter and a proper roof. SMART EQ Fortwo stops making sense once the trip needs real cargo space or more than two seats.
