SIRENITAS ELEKTRONIKA Switching Adaptor is a mains adapter for powering electronics that need a different input setup from the wall socket. By our assessment, its good side is the basic one people actually need from this kind of product: a plain electrical bridge between plug and device. The limit is equally basic, because an adaptor is not a charger, not a transformer in every case, and not a cure for incompatible equipment, so the label has to be read carefully. In use these adapters are unremarkable in the best sense: they sit behind the device and disappear until you need them to make the connection work. Compared with a travel adaptor, this one sounds more like a power-supply part for electronics than a general roaming accessory. It is the sort of item that matters most when the connector on the device and the socket at hand do not quite agree.
