Rolls-Royce Spectre brings the brand’s old idea of silence and mass into a battery-electric coupe, so the appeal is as much about atmosphere as transport. By our assessment, its strongest point is the way it turns the usual EV brief into something very composed: a large, insulated cabin, easy motion, and the sort of calm people expect from Rolls-Royce. The trade-off is clear, though: this is still a very large luxury car, so it is not the sharp, playful kind of electric driving. In practice it seems aimed at drivers who want a grand two-door cruiser rather than a number-chasing tech object. Compared with Tesla-style performance EVs, Spectre sits at the opposite end of the spectrum, closer to comfort and presence than urgency. The limit is that all that serenity comes wrapped in size and price-class expectations, and the car never pretends otherwise.
