RENAULT Twizy is the tiny two-seat electric runabout for city trips, short commutes, and parking problems that do not belong to larger cars. By our assessment, its one real advantage is its size: the upright cabin and narrow footprint make it easy to place in tight urban spaces, and the electric drivetrain fits that use case neatly. The downside is just as concrete — it is a very limited machine for weather, luggage, and long-distance comfort, so it asks a lot of compromise from the person using it. In practice Twizy feels more like a sheltered electric quadricycle than a normal car, with exposed, simple everyday use rather than proper car-like comfort. It sits apart from city hatchbacks and from full EVs, because it solves parking and short hops before it tries to solve anything else. By our assessment, RENAULT Twizy is most convincing when the trip is small and the roads are urban, and its cabin makes that priority plain from the start.
