By our assessment, OPI Gel Color - By Popular Vote is the sort of salon gel polish used for long-wear manicures when someone wants OPI’s glossy finish and a shade with a playful name. Gel Color is the line built for cure-under-lamp wear, so it is better judged by how neatly it lays down, how opaque the color looks, and how well the manicure holds up than by any single clever shade name. The downside is the usual gel trade-off: removal takes more care than ordinary polish, and the system asks for a base, color, top coat, and proper curing. In practice it is a neat, committed manicure product, not a casual one-coat fix, and the name is more about tone than information.
