NOWA

NOWA has the kind of short, generic look that can belong to many products, and that is both its usefulness and its weakness. By our assessment, it is a name that feels built for a line or brand family rather than for a self-explanatory object, so the real meaning depends on the thing carrying it. That makes it flexible, but also a little blank: there is no strong clue about function, audience, or material from the word alone. In practice, names like this often work well on packaging and labels because they are easy to place and easy to remember, yet they do not do any of the explanatory work for you. Compared with more descriptive product names, NOWA sits on the vague side of the shelf. It is fine when the surrounding design or catalogue entry does the heavy lifting, and much less helpful when the name has to stand alone.
