Mercedes-Benz Vito,Viano is the kind of van people pick when they need one vehicle to do shuttle duty, light cargo work, and long hours on the road. By our assessment, it is at its best with the Vito side of the range: practical seating layouts, a square cargo area, and the sort of packaging that makes loading and unloading less awkward than in a car-derived MPV. The trade-off is size and feel; it asks for parking space, and in town it never quite disappears under you. In use, that means sliding doors, upright seating, and a driving position built more for visibility than charm. Against smaller vans it gives more room and more flexibility, while against bigger Sprinters it stays easier to live with. It is not trying to be a luxury saloon, and that is the point.
