Mercedes-Benz GLB is the compact SUV for people who want a boxier, more practical Mercedes than the sleeker crossovers in the range. By our assessment, its strength is packaging: the upright body makes for usable cabin space, a useful cargo area, and available seating for more than five in some versions. The trade-off is that it does not feel as graceful or as sporty as lower, more road-focused Mercedes models, and that square shape is part of the deal. In practice it reads as easy family transport with a premium badge, not as a fancy toy. Mercedes-Benz GLB sits between small luxury crossovers and larger three-row SUVs, and its appeal comes from that extra usefulness without jumping to a huge size.
