Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is a two-seat, performance-first sports car for people who want the low-slung coupe shape and the big engine character that AMG is known for. Its real appeal is in the long hood, rear-drive feel, and the hard-edged response that makes it feel much more focused than an ordinary grand tourer. By our assessment, the downside is just as clear: it is not a roomy daily car, and the low seating position, firm ride, and tight cabin all come with the territory. In practice it asks for smooth roads and a driver who enjoys the weight of a proper sports car rather than relaxed commuting. Against more comfortable grand tourers it is sharper and more intense, but less forgiving over bad pavement and in tight city use. Mercedes-Benz AMG GT makes most sense when the point is the drive itself, not passengers or luggage.
