Laserpointer

Laserpointer is the plain hand-held laser pointer used for presentations, classroom pointing, and the occasional pet toy or alignment job. By our assessment, its best trait is exactly that it throws a visible dot far across a room, so a speaker can indicate text or a chart without walking up to the screen. The downside is equally concrete: the beam needs care around eyes, reflective surfaces, and curious hands, and cheap versions often feel flimsy or underpowered. In practice it is a tiny tool that disappears into a pocket until the one moment it matters. Compared with a pen or stick, it is cleaner and more precise; compared with more modern presentation clickers, it is narrower and simpler because it usually does only one job.
