LED LIGHT

LED LIGHT is the plain, no-frills category of light source people buy for rooms, desks, shelves, signs, and cheap replacements in fittings that take LED bulbs or strips. By our assessment, its real strength is efficiency: it gives usable light with low power draw and usually runs cool compared with older lamps. The downside is that the name covers almost everything, from a bulb to a strip to a fixture, so quality, brightness, color temperature, and flicker can vary a lot. In practice that means the experience depends less on the label than on the exact build and driver inside it. Against incandescent or halogen lighting, it is the modern default; against better-made fixtures, the bare name tells you very little. LED LIGHT is worth a look when the job is simple illumination and the rest is specified elsewhere.
