Hover Ball

Hover Ball looks like a toy, but in use it is really a cushion of air that keeps a light disc sliding over a floor. By our assessment, that simple idea is the whole attraction: it can turn a hallway or kitchen into a quick indoor game without needing much setup. The downside is just as plain, because it works best only on smooth floors and open space; carpets, clutter, and tight rooms make it far less lively. In practice there is a little fan noise, some bouncing off walls, and the usual hunt for where the ball has wandered under furniture. It sits closer to a novelty toy than to a serious sports product, so it is most useful when the aim is short bursts of play rather than a long session. Children usually get the point fast, while anyone expecting real control or quiet play may find it thin. Hover Ball is fun in the right room, and that room has to be reasonably clear.
