Honda Odyssey

Honda Odyssey is built for families that need a minivan with sliding doors, a real third row, and the kind of cabin space that makes school runs and road trips easier to live with. By our assessment, it is especially good at flexible seating, easy entry, and carrying people plus their luggage without turning every outing into a packing puzzle. The trade-off is that it is still a large vehicle, so parking, tight city streets, and fuel use are the price of all that room. In practice the Odyssey feels like a tool for moving several people in comfort, with the minivan layout doing the work that SUVs often only approximate. Compared with crossovers, it gives up a bit of image and some ground clearance, but gains a much more usable interior. If someone needs maximum passenger space and day-to-day convenience, it makes sense very quickly; if the priority is compact size, it does not.
