The HONDA X-ADV750M, NSS750M sits in the odd gap between a scooter and an adventure bike, and that is exactly why people look at it. By our assessment, its real strength is the upright riding position, automatic transmission feel, and the sort of road-and-light-trail usefulness that a regular scooter does not really try to cover. The trade-off is weight and bulk: this is not a neat city runabout, and the taller stance can make slow manoeuvres more work. In practice it feels like a practical machine first and a novelty second, with the 750 in the name reminding you this is a serious middleweight rather than a small commuter. It stands apart from ordinary step-throughs more than from full-size motorcycles, and the dash to reach for it is when someone wants comfort without giving up much road presence.
