HI-TEC Sonnet

HI-TEC Sonnet sits in the practical end of outdoor footwear, the kind of shoe people choose for walking, light hiking, or daily wear when they want less bulk than a full boot. By our assessment, that is also its main virtue: a lighter, simpler build usually means easier all-day wear and less stiffness straight out of the box. The price is less ankle support and less protection than a serious boot, so it is not the right answer for rough ground or heavy weather. In use, shoes like this are about easy steps, modest cushioning, and not thinking too much about them once they are on. Compared with boots, it is the quieter option; compared with casual trainers, it is usually the more outdoors-minded one. HI-TEC Sonnet makes sense when straightforward walking matters more than rugged support.
