Ford Transit

Ford Transit is the van people picture when they think of deliveries, conversions, and working vehicles that can be ordered in many body styles. By our assessment, its biggest strength is range: panel van, minibus, chassis cab, and all the builder-friendly versions that make it a backbone vehicle for fleets. The downside is also part of that same identity, because a large van asks for space, attention, and a driver who is comfortable with bulk. In practice Transit means upright seating, a big cargo box, and a cabin designed around jobs rather than luxury. It sits near the top of the commercial-van world, where it competes with other large vans but carries a long reputation for being the default choice in many workplaces. Ford Transit is less about charm than about doing an enormous amount of ordinary work day after day.
