Ford Transit Custom, Turneo Custom is the kind of van people pick when they need a boxy load carrier during the week and a people mover on other days. The Transit Custom side is the familiar one: a work van with a strong reputation among trades, delivery drivers and fleet buyers, while the Tourneo Custom name points to the passenger version with more seats and a more civil cabin. By our assessment, that flexibility is its best trait, because it gives one platform a very wide brief without pretending to be a car. The downside is the same one most vans have: you get bulk, height and a driving position built around utility rather than charm. In practice it is a vehicle for sorting out space, access and sliding-door life, not for looking sleek in town. It sits above small vans and below more polished MPVs, and the name itself already tells you which side of the family it is on.
