Chevrolet Trax

A compact SUV trades some of the room and towing ability of a larger vehicle for easier parking and a more manageable footprint, and Chevrolet Trax belongs to that everyday-use category. By our assessment, its appeal is the practical mix of a raised seating position, enclosed cargo space, and a size that is less cumbersome in city driving than a full-size SUV. Compact crossovers make sense for commuting, errands, and carrying passengers with bags, but their smaller bodies generally mean less space than larger family SUVs. The exact equipment, efficiency, and safety features depend on the particular model and configuration, so the name alone cannot settle those comparisons. Its useful balance depends on whether compact dimensions matter more than extra room.
