Mascara’s defining job is to make lashes look darker or more distinct without adding a full eye-makeup routine. CANTARE Mascara sits in a familiar everyday cosmetics category, but its name does not reveal the brush shape, formula or finish. Those details matter: mascara can separate lashes or leave them clumped, and eye makeup also needs to come off comfortably. By our assessment, the product has a clear purpose, while its actual result depends on the formula and applicator. The brush and formula do most of the work in whether lashes stay separated or gather into clumps.
