Brompton

Brompton is the folding bicycle people reach for when storage and transport matter more than speed or brute comfort. By our assessment, its real strength is the compact fold, which makes commuting, train travel, and small-city living much easier than with a full-size bike. The compromise is also clear: small wheels and a folded-bike riding position are not the same as the calm, stretched feel of a bigger road or city bicycle. In practice it feels purposeful and a bit mechanical, because the whole point is to fold, carry, open, and ride again. It sits near the top of the folding-bike class, not because it pretends to be everything, but because it accepts its own limits and works inside them.
