Bmw iX1, X1 is for drivers who want a compact BMW crossover with electric or conventional X1 flavor, rather than a large luxury SUV. By our assessment, the strength is the same one the X1 family usually sells on: a tidy size for city use, a premium cabin feel, and the easy driving position people expect from this class. The compromise is also familiar, because the iX1 electric side depends on charging, while the X1 name spans versions that do not all behave the same way. In practice it is a small premium SUV, not a sprawling people-mover, so parking and daily errands are the natural fit. Compared with bigger BMW crossovers it is less imposing, but that is exactly why many buyers look at it. The 1 in the name is part of the model label, not a performance figure.
