BRP Ryker is a three-wheeled roadster for riders who want something between a motorcycle and a small open machine. By our assessment, its main draw is simplicity: automatic transmission, relaxed ergonomics and a low, car-like feel that makes it less demanding than a full motorcycle. The price for that ease is less of the lean-and-balance involvement that makes two-wheel riding feel alive, because the Ryker is built to stay planted rather than to be danced through corners. In practice it is about open-air cruising, short trips and a more casual learning curve than a conventional bike. It sits in a niche of its own beside BRP's bigger Can-Am Spyder family, and it makes the most sense for riders who like the idea of a roadgoing machine but do not want the full commitment of a motorcycle.
