By our assessment, its main appeal is the tower layout: it keeps sockets stacked instead of spread across the floor, so plugs are easier to reach and the lead is less of a tangle. The trade-off is that a vertical strip can be awkward for bulky adapters, and it still needs a sensible place to sit. In practice this sort of product is about turning one socket into a tidier cluster of outlets, with switches and USB ports depending on the model, and the whole point is that the cables stay more organized than with a loose extension block.
