Ricola Eucalyptus

Ricola Eucalyptus is a throat lozenge-style bonbon, aimed at people who want mentholated eucalyptus candy more than a snack. Its clear strength is that familiar Ricola profile: a cool, herbal flavor that feels made for the mouth and throat rather than for dessert. The trade-off is obvious too, because eucalyptus candy can read as medicinal and can dominate the palate quickly. In use it is the sort of small, slowly dissolving sweet that stays with you for a while. By our assessment, it sits in the same lane as other herbal cough sweets, not as an ordinary candy shop treat. Ricola Eucalyptus is for people who like that clean, sharp herbal note, and not for anyone looking for a soft or fruity bonbon.
