honey is the plainest entry in the whole set, which is also its point: a basic honey product for anyone who wants honey without a style lesson attached. By our assessment, it lives entirely on familiarity, and that makes it easy to picture but hard to praise for anything specific beyond being honey. The strength is that it should behave exactly as honey does in the kitchen, from sweetening to spreading, with no special preparation. The downside is the flip side of that plainness: there is nothing in the name to suggest a distinct source, texture, or flavour direction. In practice it is the most generic jar on the shelf, the one that asks for almost no explanation. It sits under the wider honey category, not above it, and it does not try to be a varietal or a premium statement. honey is for people who want the simplest possible honey; everything else has to come from the actual jar.
