Avoine chocolat

Oat biscuits with chocolate usually live or die on texture, and Avoine chocolat sounds like the kind that leans on the oat base first and the chocolate second. By our assessment, that makes it a sensible biscuit for tea breaks or a quick desk snack, because oats give more body than a plain sweet cookie. The limit is predictable: if someone wants a true chocolate biscuit with a rich cocoa centre, this style can feel lighter and more rustic than that. In practice these biscuits tend to be crumblier and less glossy than filled chocolate cookies, which is exactly the point. Against cream-filled or sandwich biscuits, it sits on the more straightforward, less sugary side of the shelf. Avoine chocolat will appeal to anyone who likes oats and only wants chocolate in support, not as the whole show.
